The Arts in Education programs are organized by Cultural Alliance of York. The core group will comprise of Mr. Lum’s 9th grade American History classes. The overall objective is to give students a complete immersion into the history, life and culture of the 20th century using social dance as a basis to enhance their American History curriculum. By helping the students make more connections between their subject, the more meaningful their studies will be to them, as well as opening new avenues for exploration, and a greater appreciation of the past and the multi-cultural contributions to these decades. Ms. Walker & Mr. Savage will also be available to teach other classes for grades 9-12 during this residency
