Mark Seaman, “Livin’ in the Rhythm” Assembly

Elizabeth Saunders – Montgomery Elem. School
Music teacher

Budget Request: $750.00

“Livin’ in the Rhythm” is an assembly program that will be presented to the whole school. Students from Kindergarten through fifth grade will go on a journey of sound and rhythm from ancient Australia to Africa and beyond. Using world drums, percussion, story-telling and dance, the children will be inspired and motivated in their own musical endeavors and creativity. Participants will have a hands-on opportunity to play for their peers. The inspiration of the musical environment enables all participants to feel part of the group and community, thus increasing tolerance while at the same time celebrating diversity.
