Why we support TEF: TEF is a great resource for students and staff in the Tuscarora School District. The organization can provide enhanced educational opportunities that the school district otherwise would not be able to provide.

Other interests: I am also the recording secretary for the Buchanan Lioness. I enjoy being part of organizations that are here for their community.

Why we support TEF: Education is the strong foundation for our future. I went through the Tuscarora school system as did my daughter. I have seen first hand the good TEF has brought about. Being a part of helping our children take advantage of all this district has to offer is very rewarding. At the end of the day, its a great feeling knowing we’ve contributed to the well being of our students.

Occupation: Chief Financial Officer – The First Community Bank of Mercersburg

Other Interests: Rotary Club of Greencastle, Treasurer; Antietam Humane Society, President, read murder mysteries, play golf, and am a member of Calvary Bible Church

Why we support TEF: As a business leader in the local community, I believe we should have creative, exciting and “outside of the box” opportunities for our students. TEF provides funding for such opportunities whether it be in the sciences, languages or technology. Over the years, programs such as Author Illustrated, Trout in the Classroom and Elementary Science day, have demonstrated that this can be done.

Education: Business, leadership, and coaching training – Hagerstown Community College

Occupation: Owner & President, Flannery’s Tavern on the Square and the John Allison Public House

Other Interests: Tuscarora Area Chamber of Commerce – Board member, Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce – Board member, Team Manager (six years) – Mercersburg Little League, Mountain Safety Volunteer (2 years) – Whitetail Ski Resort, Chairman – Flannery’s Annual Golf Tournament, Greencastle Business Education Partnership – Committee Member.

Why we support TEF: Currently, my wife Ame and I own and operate three successful businesses. In 2010, she started a consignment shop; “The Dressing Room” located in Mercersburg and are happy to be a part of the downtown community. Our son Jonathan is currently attending James Buchanan High School, and we feel is it crucial to support the local community, our students and future leaders, and offer as many opportunities to our youth as we can.
